The Biois Valley in Falcade

Falcade is an Italian town of about 1800 inhabitants in the province of Belluno, in Veneto. It is located at the western end of the Biois Valley and is an important tourist destination in both summer and winter, especially thanks to the presence of the Dolomite peaks, which surround the town. Valle del Biois is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in the Dolomites, it extends for twenty kilometers and is connected to the province of Trento. Falcade is the main tourist town of the Valley, one of its main attractions are the ski facilities which, in the center of the town, offer the possibility of practicing night skiing. In addition to this there are also several skating rinks but there are also aspects belonging to a more summery tourism: the territory is characterized by the presence of hiking trails full of refuges and huts where it is possible to taste typical local products. One of these paths leads to the Barezze Waterfall, reachable in half an hour on foot, which gives you the opportunity to get lost in the nature of the Agordino.
