Castel Volturno is a town in the province of Caserta. A place of great naturalistic interest in the town is the Oasi dei Variconi where you can observe different species of birds stationed in special huts. Equally beautiful is the Foce del Volturno, Costa di Licola and Lake Falciano Nature Reserve which extends over the 40 kilometers of beach of the Litorale Domizio. In this place sea turtles reproduce. In addition, several protected species are preserved in the reserve, such as rare parrots and birds of prey. Symbols of the city are the bridge that connects the two banks of the Volturno river, the Borgo San Castrese and the Torre di Patria. Among the most important religious buildings we find the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of Santa Maria del Mare. In Castel Volturno there is also a Experimentation Center where important research on agricultural chemistry is carried out. The buffalo breeding is very developed in the area, from which excellent meat and the milk used to produce the famous mozzarella is obtained. Other excellent products of the area are black truffles, hemp and fish. IMAT is a world-famous training center in the city, where the personnel to be employed in the shipping companies are trained. Finally, to visit is Prezioso Casa which represents one of the most important furniture centers in Italy.
