One of the destinations not to be missed in the 'Costa degli Dei' is Pizzo Calabro, this village in the province of Vibo Valentia is characteristic for its narrow streets in the center and for its sea. Here is a list of the things not to lose sight of in Pizzo Calabro: - The Aragonese castle of Pizzo, dedicated to Murat who spent the last years here before being shot in 1815. Inside the castle, the rooms retrace the last moments of his life of the King of Naples. Among the things to see inside the castle are: the entrance hall is the bust of Murat, the marble helmet of the statue of Ferdinand IV and the trial room where you can admire the collection of coins from a private collection donated by the town of Pizzo. -The church of the Immaculate Conception has a characteristic white and golden facade. Built in 1700 by local artisans and traders. -The Garibaldi Fountain dates back to the 15th century, known as the Old Fountain, the name was changed after the unification of Italy. -The alley of the kiss was born from an idea of Mimmo Pacifico who in 1968 on this staircase gave his first kiss to his wife, the alley over the years has been made even more romantic by the images of the most famous kisses in cinema and of literature. Absolutely to see are the wonderful beaches with their clear bottoms and their blue caves accessible by sea.
