This village is in the heart of the central Apennines on the border with the Maiella and Morrone mountain parks. Its birth dates back to the 10th century, to develop in the Middle Ages, in fact Roccamorice has the typical charm of medieval villages and offers a variety of historical, religious and natural attractions. It is enchanting to walk through the cobbled streets of its historic center, admire the stone houses that overhang from the castle and tower take us back in time. In addition to this and the churches of the 1400s and 1600s, San Donato and Barone, the real pearl of the village are the Sacred Hermitages, real sculptures carved on the mountains that alternate with rocky walls, woods and breathtaking views. The most important is the Abbey of Santi Spirito built in the year one thousand.
