An unexpected paradise

One of the most 'sparkling' jewels of the Mediterranean Sea are the Tremiti Islands, an archipelago located on the Adriatic coast, belonging to the province of Foggia. Termites are a complete wonder to be observed, loved and discovered from a naturalistic point of view. Reaching them provides an almost hiking experience, through specific means such as ferries or rafts. Accessing it gives the impression of visiting another world, of experiencing nature and the sea in its primordial and magnificent state. The archipelago consists of five islands: San Domino and San Nicola are the only inhabited places. Cretaccio and Capraia can be reached by sea or on foot and Pianosa is part of the Integral Marine Reserve, therefore visits are not permitted without authorization. Even if they are chosen by those looking for a beach-only holiday, the Tremiti Islands offer many attractions to see, historical and naturalistic: the Bue Marino cave, the Pineta in San Domino and the abbey-fortress of San Nicola are some of them, which they can astound the tourist. Undoubtedly, the sea is king around the landscape to be experienced in every area. Hiking, diving, visiting seabeds and caves, allow those who visit the Termites to love nature and to feel, probably, in a corner of paradise.
