Sanluri is a small Sardinian village located between Cagliari and Oristano and its geographical position has always allowed it to have good results both in the economic field and in the historical-military field. The Giudicale Eleonora d'Arborea castle, dating back to the Middle Ages, bears witness to the history of the village of Sanluri and houses the Duca d'Aosta del Risorgimento museum, built in memory of all those who died in the wars of the Sardinian territory. Among the most important religious buildings of Sanluri, there is the Church of Our Lady of Grace. Not far away, in the center of the village, stands the Church of San Lorenzo. Typical of Sanluri is the popular festival: the Festa del Borgo, a festival whose purpose is to bring to light the ancient artisan traditions and promote the food and wine specialties of Sanluri. Sanluri is therefore a village that manages to bring the past to life by updating it in the present, thanks to parties, festivals and carnal attachment to traditions. It is a village that does not forget its roots; but he is proud of it and fights for the memory of his own identity.
