Today in one of the two wonderful islands of Italy, in Sicily; more precisely in Capizzi, in the province of Messina. Capizzi is a small town in the Nebrodi park, at 1,100 meters above sea level. It is thought that its name means 'summit' because of its urban structure perched around Mount Verna. Capizzi is the birthplace of the famous painter Antonino Mancuso, to whom a wonderful museum is dedicated. Interesting is the museum of Sacred Art where a large part of the local religious heritage is preserved; to highlight are the Room of the Parameters, the Ancient Altar of the Sanctuary of San Giacomo and the fascinating vaults of the sixth room, full of evangelical references that recalls the Last Supper. In the small village, a real Camino de Santiago has been created for several years, which crosses various woods in this area. There are numerous typical local products: let's go and taste the different productions of cheeses, such as pecorino and provolone, high quality meats, various charcuterie products such as Nebrodi bacon and bacon, dry sausage, black pork sausage flavored with truffles, highly produced and purely coming from the Nebrodi territory.
