The first residential building was built by the Gallinati Counts of Parpaglia on the hill overlooking Monte Monviso and Monte Rosa. In 1700 it became the property of the Saorgio Counts to whom we owe, in particular to Roffredo, the frescoes in the large hall. Expanded and sold several times, it was abandoned in the 1970s. The Villa was purchased by the Ciardi family around 1990. The cellars have been cleaned and restored, as well as the external courtyard, which has been grassed and dotted with flower beds. The building and the park can be visited by appointment and many events are scheduled throughout the year, including exhibitions, concerts, fashion shows, yoga, painting and cooking classes. In addition, a wine shop has been set up in the cellar, where you can taste wines from all over Italy, to be paired with platters of local products. The garden is considered a botanical garden and houses a rose nursery with more than 100 varieties, where classical music concerts are performed. In the surroundings you can visit the Basilica of Superga, built by King Vittorio Emanuele II in 1706 and the Castello di Rivoli, where since 1984 the exhibition of contemporary art has been set up in 38 rooms.
