Today we are in the province of Turin, in one of the countless small and unique villages of this beautiful area; let's go to the discovery of Chieri. Chieri is an elegant town that rises close to the foreseen soft hills. The historic center is a perfect fusion between the Middle Ages and the Baroque and its original nucleus is rich in monuments and artistic works that, through the Chioccia, climb up to the Church of San Giorgio. Once in front of the church, we admire a splendid view of the city and the surrounding landscape. Walking along the streets of the center, we discover unexpected corners, wonderful internal courtyards and truly unique buildings. The Duomo is one of these, and one of the most important and largest Lombard Gothic-style churches in Piedmont: a precious casket of artistic treasures, including the altarpieces, the altar and the crypt, dating back to the year 1000. We continue towards the town hall inside which a room has been set up where different materials dating back to the Roman era and a small archaeological exhibition are collected and preserved. Before leaving, let's visit the Basilica dei Superga, the Abbey of Santa Maria di Vezzolano, the famous textile museum and the museum of musical instruments in Riva.
