Attractions near Molveno
The town is located on the shores of Lake Molveno in the western part of the Trentino, and lies at the foot of the Brenta Dolomite Mountain Group and the Paganella Mountain Range, on the eastern end of the Natural Park Adamello-Brenta. For over a century, the park, the lake and the easy access to the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites have been a famous tourist destination. Among the distinguished guests who visited the area are: the King of Belgium Albert I, the poet Antonio Fogazzaro, the engineer...
and explorer Umberto Nobile, and the writer Alberto Moravia. The Italian Touring Club gave the town of Molveno the “Orange Flag”, an award given in recognition for the quality of its hospitality and the many services it offers to tourists. " Precious pearl in more precious casket" as the poet Fogazzaro referred to Molveno, owes much of its charm to the natural setting that surrounds it: in the west rises the central chain of the Brenta Mountain Group (Campanil Bas, Croz of the Most High, Sfulmini, Cima Tosa) and to the south-east the Mount Gazza and Paganella Mountain Ranges.
