The first document concerning the Castle records the transfer to the Bishop of Piacenza by Charlemagne in 810. With an irregular plan, it stands on a promontory of Val Vezzeno and is surrounded by ridges of rock and wood. Here the Fairytale Park is set up with elves, knights and fairies to entertain and fascinate children. The green area is embellished by the Rising Rose Garden, with 108 different varieties that allow you to admire the blooms at different times of the year. Walking through the walls decorated with flowers and climbing plants, you will immerse yourself in a truly romantic atmosphere. The living room is enchanting if you dine in the elegantly furnished medieval tavern. On this occasion it will be possible to meet the ghost of Rosania Fulgoso who hovers in the Castle, complaining about her fate desired by her husband Pietrone da Cagnano who had her walled up alive. At the weekend you can take advantage of the picnic baskets available for those who want to stop in a clearing to rest and daydream.
