Gallio is a small Venetian village in the province of Vicenza. Located at 1093 meters and with 2400 inhabitants, it represents the highest municipality in the entire province. It rises in the asiago plateau and the seven municipalities, cut by the mountain range of the Venetian pre-Alps; its first human settlements have very ancient origins. Gallium has been totally rebuilt since it was completely destroyed during the First World War; it experienced an enormous tourist development in the 60s. The small village therefore has an urban setting of 1920, characterized by a typically mountain architecture, with breathtaking views where nature is the undisputed master. Gallio offers endless paths for walking and trekking, with trails of varying difficulty. In winter, it offers top-level cross-country skiing areas, with 150 km of tracks appreciated throughout the territory. Gallio has been able to preserve and maintain a strong identity, made up of history and traditions, which can be relived on the path of silence, the door of memory; unmissable experience. Gallium is surrounded by coniferous forests and endless pastures, inside which the marks and wounds left by the First World War are scattered: shelters, trenches, positions can be seen almost everywhere.
