The trek begins with a visit to the former mine of Zusulfuru where an association has made the premises of the tourism accessible. The ancient Romans already knew and mined Galena, a mineral rich in silver. It tells of the hard work and the female contribution in which women with their children had the task of reducing the size of the minerals and storing them in bags for sale. From working in the countryside to the male milieu they experienced severe deprivation of dignity. It is held as a bride or the heavy hammer for extraction and it is shared to give life to the rock. The visit to the hydroelectric power plant and the lamp room ends. Intense and safe light that goes out when the air betrays. Resuming the path shimmering with minerals near Capo Pecora, we proceed among myrtles and rosemary towards the dunes of the coast. The environment is uncontaminated, there are no buildings or plants, the dunes formed by the Saharan sand carried by the wind, are of very fine grain. A paradise in which to dream.
