Rocca di Botte is a mountain town located in the province of L'Aquila, in comparison with Lazio. The journey that the video offers us starts from the shooting of the natural landscape that surrounds the small village, located on the edge of the Piana del Cavaliere, which in turn is located in an area between the Simbtuini Mountains and the route of the old consular Tiburtina Valeria, also flanked by the nineteenth-century railway Rome Sulmona At the top we can see the remains of the old fortress from which the village itself takes its name, a name that also indicates the strategic defensive position of the Castle. Continuing our little tour we find the House of San Pietro Eremita, a building of not only religious but also historical and architectural importance. It is a real privilege that the village still guards after all this time the house of San Pietro Eremita, which has survived time and bad weather; the house consists of three rooms: a lower room or cellar, a second intermediate room with main entrance and kitchen and on the upper floor a third bedroom room also equipped with an independent secondary entrance. The access to the Church is characterized by the carved stone portal with an eye-catching architrave on which the epigraph commemorating the restoration of 1777 is printed. Inside we can admire the eighteenth-century decorations by local artists. Finally we find the Church of Santa Maria della Febbre, also known as the Church of Santa Maria del Pianto, which still preserves intact some magnificent frescoes.
