One of the most beautiful villages in Italy, let's go and discover Bova.

Today we are going to discover one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Bova. We are in the province of Reggio Calabria and upon reaching our destination we were immediately greeted by a panel that proudly flaunts: the title, definitely deserved, inserted by the Italian touring club, as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The reasons that led to this choice are certainly clearly visible. In addition to the order in which the village is preserved, Bova offers breathtaking views through which it is possible to appreciate the slopes of the Aspromonte, which soften until they disappear under the waves of the sea. It is characteristic that in this large portion of the region Greek is still spoken, as it belongs to the Grecanica area. This peculiarity can be identified both by observing the names of the streets and by visiting the Palazzo Nesci Sant'Agata, recognizable by characteristic arches and battlements. After the arch, you will find the town hall and behind it stands the bell tower of the Church of San Leo, patron saint of the city. Next to the Town Hall Square is the engine of a locomotive; it is a monument of emigration that has characterized the whole of Calabria since the beginning of the Kingdom of Italy. On one of the walls that defines the space where the locomotive is located, some musulupare are stuck, shapes in which the cheese was cut, another symbol of Bova. We still admire the Church of San Rocco, the Church of the Madonna del Carmine, the Cathedral and after passing the Grotta degli Innamorati, we conclude our wonderful journey, visiting the ruins of the castle, from the Norman era. Arriving at the foot of the great Cross, which dominates Bova, it is possible to see a breathtaking view, where the unmistakable Pentedattilo appears in the distance. Among the beauties of the village and the breathtaking view, Bova is without a doubt a village to discover.
