useful information
Riviera delle Palme is a tourist resort on the Marche coast that goes from Cupra Marittima to the mouth of the Tronto, passing through Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto. It represents an important regional tourist reality both for the number of accommodation facilities and for the number of visitors. The name derives from the presence of thousands of palms of the Phoenix Canariensis, Washingtonia and P. Sylvestris species. San Benedetto del Tronto is considered the 'capital' of the Riviera delle Palme; it is famous for the promenade full of sculptures, gardens and works of art; it is also characterized by the numerous Art Nouveau villas and the typical palm trees that line the seafront. Furthermore, the sea of San Benedetto del Tronto has been awarded the Blue Flag: its 9-kilometer-long beach of fine white sand is a popular destination for many visitors, both foreign and foreign. San Bendetto del Tronto as well as for the sea is famous for its beautiful promenade, designed in 1931 by the engineer Luigi Onorati. It is about 6 km long and is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy: bordered by about 8000 palm trees and various thematic gardens (rose garden, citrus garden, wet garden, arid garden) it is able to conquer any visitor!
