The inlet represents the environmental quality of the promontory and is its symbol. It can be reached from Porto Santo Stefano, along the panoramic road for 5.9 km. Here you park and take via dei Pionieri on foot. After the gate, the asphalted road sinks towards the cove, with which it connects with a steep staircase. Surrounded by an amphitheater of light-colored rock, the cove is made up of smooth pebbles and gravel, mineral prerequisites of the crystal clear water. It is advisable to walk to the cove with sneakers and to bring water and food, mask and snorkel with you, to explore the underwater flora and fauna. After the visit, go to the nearby Feniglia beach, which can be reached on foot or by bicycle from the provincial road. The 6 km of coastline are made up of fine white sand, bordered by a strip of coastal plants and domestic pines. In the park the paths behind the dune can be explored by bicycle and it is easy to meet the fallow deer that have entered the woods to contain invasive broad-leaved trees.
