Margherita di Savoia is known for its salt flats, so much so that it is known as the city of salt flats, but also for another reason. In this town there is a great devotion to the Holy Savior, who is celebrated in August with the patronal feast, always very popular. This celebration was particularly felt in 2021, after the Covid pandemic, intended as a message of hope and a fresh start. On that occasion, however, the solemn procession could not be held, nevertheless all the other rituals were respected. First the coronation of the sacred image takes place, and then, on the feast day, there are masses. People who were unable to attend in person were able to follow the celebrations on television. In addition, an evocative video mapping show projected on the facade of the church was created. The images told the story of the centuries-old tradition of the feast of the Most Holy Savior, and the project was entitled 'a land kissed by the sun', referring to Margherita of Savoy.
