In the sublime gulf of Salerno, at the beginning of what they consider one of the most elegant and sensational maritime areas of our territory, the Amalfi coast, there is a maritime village whose simplicity and tradition has left a happy and unique memory in generations of tourists: Vietri sul Mare. Vietri is a combination of crystalline sea and strong cultural roots, it is a small citadel that allows anyone to feel at one with it. The attractions are numerous, every corner of the city expresses a typical atmosphere of medieval villages, but what catches the eye is certainly the omnipresence of ceramics. The Vietri ceramics and its symbol, 'o 'ciuccio' (the mule), is famous internationally. Walking through the center, it is possible to visit the sensational Museum of Ceramics, but also to admire the myriad of shops that deal with the material. The historic center is an agglomeration of buildings and streets, very similar to a perfect painting, in which the church of San Giovanni Battista stands out, with a majolica dome; the Villa Comunale and via Umberto I, from which you can see a splendid panorama. This panorama can be experienced more closely along the descent that leads to Marina di Vietri: here beaches, restaurants and other recurring elements (with ceramics) intertwine; guaranteeing a sigh of wonder to anyone who stops to contemplate this little glimpse of paradise and passion.
