The unspoilt natural surroundings of Residenza Ca’ del Sole e della Luna open opportunities for walking, horse-riding and mountain-bike excursions. For those with an interest in the history of the 1800’s and 1900’s S. Martino della Battaglia, Solferino and Salò can be easily reached in a few minutes. Gardaland and Caneva World, the famous amusement parks, are just over an hour away, as are the Bussolengo wildlife park and the Cavour Watersports Park. The " Alto Garda bresciano" nature park offers opportunities for walks, scenic places, occasions to meet the tradition and history of north-western Garda. Without forgetting the charm of the towns along its coast: Limone, Gargnano, Toscolano-Maderno, Gardone and Salò itself, formerly fishing villages that have managed to preserve part of their charm to this day. The Valtenesi, the south-western region of Garda to which the Residenza Ca’ del Sole e della Luna belongs, offers wonderful panoramic points (from the fortress of Manerba to the square of Puegnago, to the high area of Padenghe), it is scattered with ancient castles and fortresses (one for each country), has areas of great archaeological interest (from the Rocca di Manerba to Lake Lucone, in the hinterland), and is a place of worship for food and wine enthusiasts. The small lakes of Sovenigo, in the hinterland of Puegnago, 4 km from our Residenza, represent a vast green area of great naturalistic-environmental value, an ideal place for walking, mountain biking or horseback riding. In the whole Valtenesi vine and olive tree are cultivated, excellent wines are produced (typical are Groppello and Chiaretto) as well as precious oils, D. O.P. And extra virgin. Truffle is another culture that makes the area interesting for gourmets. And, of course, lake fish and traditional local dishes, such as the spit, crown the picture worthily.
