The hostel is located in the Maiella National Park, on the slopes of Mount Porrara, 1272 m, in the municipality of Palena. The construction of the complex is completed by around Celestinian around the 14th century. The complex consists of a small chapel, a roof garden and a habitation that is spread over three levels and hosts inside 30 beds, between single, double and quadruple rooms, all featuring private bathroom and furnished in a sober and comfortable style which guarantee a family atmosphere, supportive and communicative, a refectory and an equipped kitchen.
