Giovo is a town of 2500 inhabitants located in the Cembra Valley, in the province of Trento. The town is famous for the production of wine and grappa which represent the beating engine of the local economy. It is no coincidence that its territory is characterized by extensive terraces planted with vineyards. In this regard, a very important event that takes place every year in the last weekend of September in the hamlet of Verla is the Grape Festival. Here you can taste the excellent Muller Thurgau (which represents the flagship of the wine production of this area) and you can also eat gastronomic products such as mountain cheese, tart with chestnut cream and strudel. Preceded by the notes of the town band then comes the most beautiful moment of the party: the parade of allegorical floats. Between wild dances, bizarre disguises and rivers of wine, fun is guaranteed and you can breathe a euphoric atmosphere reminiscent of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
