Just outside the town of Maratea you can reach the start of the via ferrata in 15 minutes, climbing a ladder that crosses the wood. The via ferrata is equipped with numerous staples and two Tibetan bridges. Of medium difficulty, the route alternates between short walls, stretches of ridges and stretches of path, giving way to rest after the exposures on the wall. Of great fun and satisfaction, during the climb the panorama opens up more and more on the Gulf of Maratea and on the peaks of the southern Apennines with the amphitheater-like slopes, around the coast. The Tibetan bridges are equipped with four strings and do not show hesitation when passing. The Christ placed on the top of Monte San Biagio at 620 m, recalls its namesake in Rio. Forged by Bruno Innocenti, it is composed of a cement paste and Seravezza marble flakes. The disproportionate eyes project their gaze down to the valley and seem to follow the climbers arriving from the route. Upon arrival he is immediately greeted and touched as he represents the summit and the sea that joins the sky.
