The construction of the farmhouse that houses the farm presumably dates back to the fourteenth century. The particular shape of the front, facing north and overlooking the sea and Mount Vesuvius, and the thickness of its perimeter walls suggest a defensive tower of the ancient walls of the fortified city of Castle.
